Private Cooking Lessons

$100 per hour for 1-2 people

Cooking in your kitchen allows you to enjoy and create in the comfort of your own home. No industrial equipment or intimidating ingredients; instructions are clear and concise. Classes are two or three hours and include hands-on instruction and recipes. Lucia and Paul will shop for the ingredients.

Knife Skills

Learn to choose, use, and care for knives. We will teach you the skills of chopping, slicing, dicing, and mincing. You’ll learn to make a delicious Lebanese Fattoush Salad with Grilled Chicken and Tuscan Garden Soup, utilizing your cut vegetables. Participants will learn to understand various culinary terms for knife cuts such as chiffonade, julienne, and brunoise.

Take 5! Recipes using 5 Ingredients or less

Learn techniques and recipes that let you enjoy fresh, tasty meals without the hassle of shopping for obscure ingredients or difficult instructions. You will make 3 entrees: Ginger-Peanut Sautéed Chicken, Curried Shrimp Cakes, and Greek-Styled Beef and Orzo Stew. Other options available upon request.

Kitchen Nutrition

Want to explore meatless meals? Interested in reducing fat and sodium without reducing flavor? Lucia’s background as a clinical nutritionist enables her to teach reliable healthy cooking methods and ingredient swaps so that you can still enjoy tasty food without feeling deprived. You will make 3 entrees: Eggplant Stuffed with Hummus and Smokey Roasted Tomato, Butternut Black Bean Chili, and Tofu Parmigiana. Other options available upon request.

Game Day Eats

Having the gang over to watch the game but don’t want to be stuck in the kitchen? We will teach you to prepare a make-ahead spread that knocks it out of the park! Make 4 dishes: Smokey Pulled Chicken Sliders with Apple Slaw, Shrimp Stuffed Devilled Eggs, Warm Caramelized Onion and Bacon Dip with Crispy Potato Wedges, Beef Empanadas with Cilantro-Lime Dipping Sauce. Plan ahead for a flawless holiday dinner. Learn expert tips while preparing 4 make-ahead dishes: Poached Pear Salad with Candied Walnuts and Crumbled Blue Cheese, Butternut Squash Soup with Red Pepper Puree, Roasted Seasonal Vegetable Medley with Frizzled Sage, and Ginger-Apple Galette.
